Manipal Academy of Higher Education, also known as Manipal University. Manipal University is a private research institute. Manipal University deemed to be university located in the university town of Manipal, Udupi, Karnataka, India. It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. There is some confusion regarding Manipal University and Sikkim Manipal University, they both are predicted to be same by many of the peoples, but they both have their own entity. Manipal University and Sikkim Manipal University are different universities. Manipal University is recognized by UGC (University Grants Commission) under section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956. Manipal University conducts its own online entrance exam to offer admissions to candidates in the programmes that it offers.
