The Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, India or CMC-Ludhiana was the first medical school for women in Asia. CMC-Ludhiana was founded in 1894. Christian Medical College is the first medical school for women in Asia which offers undergraduate, post-graduate, and research-based courses. The admissions in Christian Medical College and Hospital are based on National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET UG) results also all NEET qualified candidates have to compulsorily apply to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences along with applying to CMC Ludhiana. Institutes which are affiliated from CMC-Ludhiana takes admission in the month of June or July, after the declaration of NEET results. NEET UG is all India Medical and Dental entrance examination.
